At Holistiq Health, our approach is grounded in integrative NP-led primary care that considers the broader factors influencing health and wellbeing. Alongside conventional medical care, we recognise that wellbeing is shaped by many interconnected biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors, all of which may influence the body’s ability to maintain balance and overall function.
Assessment and management are individualised and may include education, lifestyle strategies, behavioural support, allied health collaboration, conventional medical care, and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches where appropriate.
Initial consultations are designed to better understand your individual health concerns, overall wellbeing, medical history, and previous treatment experiences. Depending on your needs and circumstances, this may include discussion around sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, mood, lifestyle factors, current medications, and previous therapies trialled.
Where appropriate, assessment may also involve physical examination, body measurements, review of current medications, and consideration of recent pathology, imaging, specialist reports, hospital discharge summaries, or GP health summaries. In some situations, additional investigations or health assessments may be recommended to help support safe and informed clinical decision-making.
Not all treatment approaches are suitable for every individual, and some therapies may require a more detailed screening and assessment process to ensure they are safe, clinically appropriate, and aligned with current professional and regulatory standards. This may include discussion of potential benefits, limitations, risks, monitoring requirements, and informed consent prior to commencing treatment.
We believe that long-term health and wellbeing are often best supported through collaborative and multidisciplinary care. Depending on individual needs, this may include communication with your regular GP, referral to allied health professionals, or collaboration with other healthcare providers involved in your care.
Where appropriate, referrals may be recommended to services such as physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics, exercise physiology, osteopathy, women’s health services, specialty Nurse Practitioner services, or medical specialists to help support broader health goals and ongoing wellbeing.
“We believe informed and collaborative decision-making plays an important role in supporting meaningful and sustainable health outcomes.”
