General Consultations

General consultations support more straightforward or time-sensitive health concerns, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support where appropriate.

Care is provided across the lifespan, including paediatric, adult, and older persons care, with an approach tailored to your individual health needs and circumstances.

We recognise that access to a regular GP can sometimes be challenging, and this service is intended to provide timely, practical, and supportive healthcare when needed. Wherever possible, we encourage continuity of care with your regular GP or broader healthcare team to support your longer-term health needs over time.

General Consultations

You may wish to book a general consultation for concerns such as:

Flu-like/viral illnesses
Minor infections
Skin conditions
Gastrointestinal concerns
Urinary Symptoms
Minor injuries and ailments
Medical certificates
Repeat prescriptions
Simple investigations and results review

General Consultation Fees and Medicare

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible patients attending short, standard, or long consultations. Please refer to the consultation fees section or booking page for further information.

Where Medicare rebates are to be claimed, initial consultations are generally required to be conducted face-to-face in accordance with current Medicare requirements. Alternatively, consultations may proceed on a private fee basis where appropriate.

Important information

General consultations are intended for straightforward or time-sensitive health concerns. Requests for medications with a higher risk profile, including opioids or benzodiazepines, are not routinely provided within this setting.

Where appropriate, a summary of your consultation may be shared with your regular GP or broader healthcare team to support continuity of care.

If your health concerns fall outside the scope of this service, referral to a more appropriate healthcare provider may be recommended where needed.
